Hi I just wanted to know if I can remve the area that is dark? The labia minora. I read that skin near the clitoris can be used to replace labia minora to make sure its just not a opening without a labia minora.
Answer: A Labiaplasty would drastically improve your appearance Hello Veva, I see how your hyperpigmented tissues bother you. It is the main reason why your vulva is not attractive. With a curvilinear labiaplasty the edges will take on a lighter appearance, but no need for an agressive reduction nor transplanting skin to the labia. You would also benefit from excising the dark excess perineal skin and a clitoral hood reduction with clitoropexy. This would give you a youthful, attractive and natural appearance. The key, though, is finding the right surgeon and for this you may need to travel. Go to the link below to see hundreds of B/A photos with this combination of procedures. You will likely find some examples that are quite similar to you. From that link you may schedule a virtual consult via phone or zoom, at which time we can discuss in-depth your anatomy, expectations, and concerns. Women from all over the world travel to my Center for their Intimate Makeover under local anesthesia. Best of luck,

Answer: Labiaplasty for dark labia minor I think that some of the dark labia minora can be removed but removing too much of the labia minora will be unattractive. I would also suggest you have some clitoral hood contouring. Be certain to consult an experienced cosmetic gynecologist or urogynecologist to make certain that they understand your desired results.

Answer: Can I remove the labia minora only? HI veva, I think that you can remove some of the labia minora, most of which is the dark colored part. I would not, however, remove too much as you will be unhappy with the result. You could also potentially have irritation of the area if your surgeons removes too much tissue. The clitoral hood could be shortened just a bit as well. If you do not want the hood touched at all, just discuss this with your surgeon. Be sure to visit with a surgeon in your area who does many of these types of procedures. Hope this helps a bit. Best, Dr. Christine Rodgers

Answer: Labiaplasty - can I remove the labia minora? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Although you can not remove all of the labia minora you could reduce the tissues to minimize the amount of darker tissue present.
